 I started my career in 1995 with a 4-month course. This was the time when this sector did not have its presence like other sectors of life in our society had. With the passage of time, it started gaining ground and found its roots, and eventually, the importance of this sector began to surface up in our society. I had a passion for cooking, so after completing my education and trying different jobs in other fields I gave a second thought to my career. In 2006, I set out my goal to launch a new course of action and pursue higher professional training in this field, and acquire the required skill. After various courses and diplomas, I got my training and practical experience in the top hotels & restaurants of Karachi to sharpen my skill and acquire the targeted expertise  During my short-term chef courses and training in this field thereafter, I realized that for certain reasons this field did not have the place it deserved. In this field cooks and chefs put in a lot of hard work, but they destroy the nutrition value in the cooking process. Eventually, I came to the conclusion that, instead of the traditional way of cooking, some basic reform and change in cooking techniques should be introduced with a certain amount of research and creative thinking. So I decided that what I really needed was to learn how to do it right. After some cooking experiments, I tried to figure out how to get nutrition from food, which foods are best for nutrition, how the best result can be achieved, and what should be the right cooking technique. It was disturbing to note that we added the ingredients, although quite expensive, just for the sake of taste, without giving consideration to the harmful effect; and we did this totally unaware of the consequences. I did not limit my research to my own field but extended it further to incorporate nutrition and agriculture together as part of my research. 

In the pursuit of my objective, I also received guidance from scientists from various universities in Pakistan. With their co-operation and guidance, I introduced a new breed of diet called “superfood”. It was in the initial stage even in the developed counties. This was a new concept and the availability of the superfoods was difficult. .But, by the grace of God, a number of these superfoods are available in Pakistan. But there is a lack of awareness, and a certain amount of ignorance, in this regard. Although it is beneficial for everyone to take these foods, it yields better results if taken under the guidance of a nutritionist. With the conviction and knowledge of the long-term benefits of the superfoods, I took up this profession which happened to be quite new both in our country and developed countries. This was the year 2014-15. I went ahead with my mission, and since 2015 I happen to be the first private chef in Pakistan. With this objective in mind I have taken steps to get myself introduced to Pakistan.

I am so much willing to pass on the fruit of my research to interested parties and offer my services and provide every possible support. But it is necessary for the willing parties to understand these basic facts, although it is not that easy. In our society, people don’t know the difference between a chef and a cook, and it is even harder to know the difference between a chef and a private chef  That’s why it is important to fully understand the tips I have given here.

I have the honest intention to do pioneering work in my country. Initially, I am doing the groundwork and trying to come up with a food sector that will provide people with high quality and healthy food and necessary service. It will also create new jobs and business opportunities in the cooking sector. With this vision in view, I have named my company “Private Chef Pakistan”. Presently I am the only private chef in Pakistan, but I want more people like me to join hands with me and offer services in this field, keeping the highest standards.
